Pets’n’Vets offers interest free credit

The Pets’n’Vets Family network of veterinary practices with surgeries around Glasgow and surrounding areas has marked a step change in veterinary care practice in Scotland by introducing interest free payment options on bills from £250 upwards, providing a solution to the issue of affordability for pet care.

Through CarefreeCredit, The Pets‘n’Vets Family is providing affordable interest free payment options to clients, so that their pets can be given the best possible treatment without delay, and without worry over the costs.

Oliver Jackson, a partner in The Pets‘n’Vets Family, said: “Some pet owners can find the cost of their pet’s treatment prohibitive and so, with the aim of making available the very best medical treatment for pets for all pet owners, we have introduced zero per cent interest for up to a year on vet bills greater than £250 to enable owners to spread the cost.

“As a locally-owned practice we have an ethos of clinical success rather than financial targets: we have no financial targets, no bonus culture and there are no incentives for our vets to charge more for care. All our pet care is based exclusively on clinical considerations.”

The Pets‘n’Vets Family’s flagship Roundhouse Veterinary Hospital opened last year with the aim of making available to Glasgow’s pets the full gambit of veterinary treatments; everything from health advice and vaccinations to the most complicated surgical and medical care, including complex fractures, JPS (Juvenile Pubic Symphysiodesis), a ground-breaking surgical procedure that can help prevent hip dysplasia and minimally invasive laparoscopic (key-hole) surgery.

“As an independent veterinary practice, whose partners all grew up and live in the local community, our intention has always been to deliver exceptional veterinary care to all pet owners in our community,” said Jackson. “The introduction of our interest free credit option will enable us to do just that.

“The provision of interest-free credit fits into that ethos. We understand that some pet owners can experience difficulties with finance and insurance and, as such, are confident that our interest-free credit option will help by offering an alternative way of financing veterinary care that is beneficial for pet owners and enables our practice to make the best pet care more accessible for all local pet owners.”

The provision of interest free payment options will be subject to age, status and a full credit check.
