PetsPyjamas has revealed the top hotels in the UK for dog owners.
The dog travel company holds its annual Travel Awards to recognise which hotel destinations are best suited for those travelling with a pet.
The awards were judged on various criteria, including if there were three or more dog-friendly rooms available to book, if dogs had access to communal and dining areas, if they were provided with beds, bowls and treats and what dog-friendly attractions were nearby.
Winners of the award include:
Best in Show – Widbrook Grange, Wiltshire
Heavenly Hound Hideaways – Rowley Estates, Lake District
Best for Walkies – Ballathie Country House Hotel and Estate, Scotland
Chicest Canine Stay – Lakes by Yoo, Lake District
Best for Pet Perks – The Fish hotel, Worcestershire
Dog-Friendly Pubs – The Bell, Ticehurst, East Sussex
Fido’s Family Friendly – Woolley Grange hotel, Wiltshire
Best Dog-Friendly Europe – Hotel Plaza Elysees, Paris
Most Instagrammable – Bovey Castle and Spa, Devon
Co-founder, Denise Elphick, said: “The hospitality industry is wide awake to the value of the pet pound, with more properties than ever accepting pets.
