Mars named UK’s most family-friendly workplace

Mars has been recognised as the ‘UK’s Most Family Friendly Company’ in the 2025 Flexa100.

Alongside this, Mars also earned recognition as the second most pet-friendly company in the country.

The report evaluates companies based on their commitment to flexible working, based on an internal, anonymous survey sent to Mars UK Associates.

Flexa’s findings are calculated using a comprehensive analysis of key indicators, including location, hours, benefits, senior leadership, trust, autonomy, and work-life balance.

These data points are then combined with in-depth feedback from associates, demonstrating that Mars UK’s efforts are being recognised from both within and outside the business.

In addition to these recognitions, Mars was also runner-up in several other categories, including Flexibility, Work-Life Balance and Career Progression.

With over 10,000 associates across 10 sites in the UK, the company’s workforce includes marine biologists, chewing gum tasters, and rice buyers.

Mars pet brands include Royal Canin, Whiskas and Pedigree alongside international networks of pet hospitals, including Banfield, Bluepearl, VCA and Anicura.
