Pets at Home donates £350k to charity

These vouchers can be redeemed by the charities in Pets at Home stores to purchase essential supplies like pet food, bedding, and other resources

Pets at Home has revealed that it has donated £350,000 in gift vouchers to over 700 charities across the UK involved in the Lifelines scheme.

Lifelines is a charitable scheme, by Pets at Home, that allows its customers to directly support animal charities.

For the first time, every charity involved, regardless of their size, will receive a £500 Lifelines gift voucher on 14 February, which can be redeemed in any Pets at Home store within six weeks.

Every time a customer swipes their Pets Club loyalty card while shopping, Lifelines points are collected and converted by Pets at Home into gift vouchers, which are donated to charities involved in the scheme.

Anja Madsen, COO at Pets at Home, said: “At Pets at Home, we’re incredibly proud to support the amazing work of the charities involved in our Lifelines scheme, and are thrilled to be spreading the love by donating more than £350,000 in gift vouchers this Valentine’s Day.

“Since launching Lifelines 12 years ago, we are proud to have donated over £23 million to animal charities across the UK. This is our way of saying thank you to these charities for the invaluable care they provide to pets and their communities.”

Rachel Frost, communications officer at Birmingham Dogs Home Charity, added: “Pets at Home Lifelines play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of the thousands of dogs that come into our care each year. For our dedicated front-line workers, these Lifelines provide essential resources that allow us to offer the highest standard of care to every dog, from the moment they arrive until they find their forever homes.

“The generosity of supporters through Pets at Home Lifelines makes an incredible difference, allowing us to go above and beyond in providing the care, love, and attention these dogs deserve. Thanks to this ongoing support, we can continue to give thousands of dogs a brighter future.”
