Laughing Dog to take part in Battersea’s Muddy Dog Challenge

British baked dog food company, Laughing Dog, will be taking part in the Peterborough Muddy Dog Challenge on Saturday 13 October, raising money for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

The Muddy Dog Challenge is held every year at six different locations around the UK, with many of the public walking and running with their dog by their side as they tackle obstacles throughout the dog-friendly course. The money raised goes towards the costs to run Battersea’s three rescue centres, which amounts to roughly £40,000 a day.

Laughing Dog is part of Fold Hill Foods Ltd, based in Boston, Lincolnshire. Laughing Dog’s Farm Bakery range of dry completes, treats and mixer meals is available in wheat free and grain free varieties, and its Farm Kitchen range of wet completes is grain free.

Ben Mankertz, commercial manager at Laughing Dog, said: “We are delighted to support Battersea, and it’s great that we can take part in this local event. My dog Bumble and I have been training very hard and are looking forward to running a 5k together for the first time.

“With colleagues from sales, marketing and technical joining us, the race is certainly shaping up to be rather competitive – but if that means more funds for charity, then it’s certainly worth all the hard work!”
