Chesire and Wain celebrates 10th anniversary

Cheshire and Wain has also worked with ceramicist Rachel Dormor for the production of the brand’s much-loved Caviar-themed cat bowl

British luxury cat lifestyle company Cheshire and Wain celebrated its 10th anniversary in November.

During this time the company has sold more than 15,000 collars to an international market.

The company was born out of founder Sonja Farrell’s frustration with the limited availability of high-quality cat products, specifically in the realm of leather cat collars.

Cheshire and Wain is based at a studio in Bridport on the south coast of England, after relocating from East London earlier this year.

Even now leather collars are the focus of the brand including lines such as its Wonderland collection featuring collars inspired by Lewis Carroll’s characters.

Cheshire and Wain has also worked with ceramicist Rachel Dormor for the production of the brand’s much-loved Caviar-themed cat bowl.

Farrell said: “Cheshire and Wain was a big idea inspired by one tiny kitten, my beloved Mr Percy Peter Wells. In November 2013, I sold our very first collar. Fast forward to the present day, and this little cat has inspired more than 10 collar collections along with a wide product line to bring a Cheshire & Wain luxury to cats across the globe. We can’t wait to bring even more of the finer things in life to cats in our next decade.”
