OATA CEO becomes advisor to freshwater fish charity

OATAโ€™s vice chair Pete Carey, one of 18 voluntary board directors at the trade association who is head of Aquatic Innovation at CASCO, is also one of Shoalโ€™s new advisorsย 

OATAโ€™s chief executive Dominic Whitmee has accepted an offer to become an advisor for Shoalโ€™s Advisory Group.ย 

Shoal is a global conservation initiative focused entirely on freshwater species, and has brought together a diverse panel of freshwater experts to help support it in its decision-making.

Shoalโ€™s Mike Baltzer said: โ€œEach has an important voice in guiding Shoalโ€™s decision-making. Shoal Advisors offer their support to us to ensure that the strategy and activities of Shoal are based on the best available science, are aligned to achieving both the goals and objectives of Shoal and meet the interests and concerns of its partners and supporters as best as it can.ย
