Wagg Foods is named ‘one to recognise’ by Sunday Times
Independent dried pet food producer, Wagg Foods, has been named as one of ten ‘Ones to Recognise’ in the 17th annual Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100.
The Profit Track league table, which will be published on April 10 2016, ranks Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing profits over the past three years.
The Sunday Times Profit Track “Ones to Recognise” represents ten companies whose profit growth falls just short of the main league table but who are expected to grow rapidly in the future.
Companies shortlisted for the ‘Ones to Recognise’ programme are visited and a national winner is then selected by a judging panel led by serial entrepreneur Luke Johnson. The winning company receives a special award at the Profit Track 100 national awards dinner in June.
Wagg Foods managing director Richard Page said: “To be selected by Profit Track is a tremendous endorsement for the company and further proof that investing some £14 million in production and other facilities over the past 18 months was a good decision. These investments are expected to provide a new base for continued expansion and deliver improved customer service as the business continues to expand and we shall be unveiling our latest facility – a state-of-the-art 100,000 sq ft distribution centre and office complex – next month.”
