OATA hands out Lifetime Achievement Award

OATA’s Lifetime Achievement Award has been awarded to Dr David Pool who has been recognised for his work in the aquatics industry.

David, founder of FishScience Ltd, has worked in the industry most of his working life, including 25 years at Tetra. He is also the author of three books on aquarium and pond keeping as well as over 250 articles on fish-keeping.

David has made appearances on national radio and television across the world to promote fish-keeping and given talks on the subject throughout the world.

He was presented with the award by OATA chief executive, Keith Davenport.

“David richly deserves this award,” said Keith. “He has been a stalwart of this industry for more decades than he probably cares to remember and he’s done a huge amount to promote the hobby among fish-keepers through his books and articles in magazines.”
“It is a great honour to be recognised in this way,” said David on being presented with the award at the AQUA2015 show dinner.
