New online holistic pet care course launched

A leading holistic vet is offering a course covering the fundamental principles of natural pet care.

Holly Mash, the author of The Holistic Dog – a complete guide to natural health care, is offering the distance learning course which is fully downloadable by enrolling at http://www.civtedu.org/how-to-enrol.

Entrants who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion after the 10-week, (two hours per week) programme.

It covers the topics:

• An introduction to holistic health

• Diet and nutrition

• Commonly used supplements

• Herbal medicine

• Homeopathy and flower essences

• Acupuncture and physical therapies

• Preventative healthcare

• Caring for the elderly pet

For each of the topics there are study guides, an audio power-point presentation, as well as quizzes and assignments.

There will be constant access to tutor support with qualified veterinarian Holly Mash throughout and the course will be assessed through 60 per cent online quizzes and 40 per cent assignments.

Holly said: “This course is designed to teach you the fundamentals of holistic healthcare and how to set your animals on the right track for better health and wellbeing.”
