Chief executive of Pet Care Trust Janet Nunn leaves role

The Pet Care Trust and its chief executive Janet Nunn released a joint statement to announce Janet’s immediate departure from the organisation on 14 September.

Janet Nunn remarked of her departure: “I’ve really enjoyed my time at the Pet Care Trust and appreciated the support and friendship shown by the many companies, volunteers and individuals in the pet trade who helped us achieve so much.

“We influenced the shape of the Animal Welfare Acts; gained national accreditation for pet professional qualifications; introduced CPD and a national QA standard for pet retailers with independent audit; secured seats on government committees and the EU trade body. The dog grooming sector is professionalising out of all recognition led by our top achievers and the Trust is poised to launch an exciting scholarships programme in September. Now it’s time for me to pass on the baton and seek fresh challenges.”
