Happy Pet donates products to Dogs Trust Loughborough

In the countdown to the opening of Dogs Trust Loughborough, Leicestershire-based Happy Pet responded to the rehoming centre’s call for donations by sending van loads of products its way.

Ella Tonge, Dogs Trust Loughborough’s supporter relations officer, said: “We were overwhelmed by the support of Happy Pet and the volume of items they donated was astonishing. I never expected to receive so much from one source and this is just the start.

“It makes all the difference for the dogs to be surrounded by home comforts such as nice comfy beds and an array of toys to play with and all these donations help to make the dogs even happier and more appealing to prospective new families.”

Happy Pet’s Sue Hendry added: “We were all so pleased to hear the Dogs Trust was opening a centre in Loughborough and were delighted to be able to help the dogs in some way. While the dogs await their new homes we wanted to make their time at the rehoming centre as comfortable as possible and hope this is the start of a great relationship between us and the charity.”

Since its official opening in September, Dogs Trust Loughborough has rehomed over 100 dogs.
