A Grand Day Out returns for its second year

The Kennel Club Charitable Trust and Wallace and Gromit’s Children’s Foundation have joined forces to host family fun dog walks again this year.

The dog walks, which are being held across the country, are being sponsored by Foresters for the second year running and are designed to raise funds for sick children and mistreated dogs throughout the UK.

The walks will also feature bouncy castles, face painting, dog training tips, Bronze testing with the Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme, and tea and cake.

Foresters’ UK member development manager Elizabeth Carrington-Porter said: “Healthy family time is what Foresters is all about, and ‘A Grand Day Out’ is exactly that. Encouraging all the family to take their four-legged friends out for a wonderful walk in the countryside will not only provide families with a lovely opportunity to spend time together, but also raise much-needed funds for poorly children and dogs throughout the UK.”

A Grand Day Out will be taking place in Bristol’s Tyntesfield Park on 29 July, Essex’s Hadleigh Park on 19 August and Lincolnshire’s Belton House on 15 September.

There are also plans for a Host Your Own weekend set to take place on 15 and 16 September.
