BSAVA launches science webinar series

The BSAVA has launched its series of science webinars to take a closer look at some of the papers published in the Journal of Small Animal Practice (JSAP).
In each webinar the authors of featured papers will discuss the results and application of their papers with a panel and answer questions submitted by the audience in advance.
The first four webinars, which are free to access in the BSAVA Webinar Library, cover four different papers:
- Prescription rebellion: reduction of antibiotic use by small animal veterinarians
- Xenotransfusion of canine blood to cats: a review of 49 cases and their outcome
- Long-term biological variability and the generation of a new reference interval for plasma N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide in Labrador retrievers
- Retrospective characterisation and outcome of canine idiopathic mesenteric purulent lymphadenitis and lymph node abscesses at a teaching hospital from 2005 to 2015
Nicola Di Girolamo, editor of JSAP said: “This webinar series shines a light on selected papers in JSAP and allows us to consider how these findings may impact clinical practice, ultimately leading to evidence-based veterinary medicine.
“Discussing the research with the authors – experts in their field – really helps to bring the papers to life.”
