Bella and Duke secures £3.5m funding

Pet food brand Bella and Duke announced it has raised £3.5m in its latest funding round.
The investment will be used to help the firm to accelerate sales, marketing and recruitment activities, as well as expand into the cat food market.
The latest round of investment was led by Mobeus, and looking forward, the brand believes the funding will help to deliver 105% year-on year revenue growth.
Bella and Duke produces raw, fresh pet food with natural ingredients. It is created with nutritional science, and sources local ingredients, which are blended and frozen before being delivered on demand to customers.
A recent survey commissioned by the brand found that 91% of its customers saw an improvement in their dogs’ digestion and overall health within eight weeks. In particular, there was a 100% improvement reported in dogs with IBS.
Mark Scott, CEO of Bella and Duke, said: “This investment is great for Bella and Duke moving forward and reiterates to the industry how committed we are to our mission in getting raw pet food into the mainstream.
“We consult the latest research, speak with ground-breaking scientists and thought leading vets, look at clinical feedback and listen to our amazing customers, so that we know our meals will make a huge contribution in helping dogs achieve optimum health.”
