BVA appoints Steve Anderson Dixon as new board chair

Dixon was elected as a non-veterinary director at BVA’s AGM in September 2017. He succeeds Philip Lowndes, who had served as BVA’s board chair since April 2017.

The British Veterinary Association (BVA) has appointed Steve Anderson Dixon as its new board chair.

Dixon, who had previously served as a BVA board director since 2017, has nearly 40 years experience in publishing. He has previously held the position of chief operating officer of the Trinity Mirror Regionals division following its acquisition of Local World Media Group.

He is currently the CEO of JBP Associates, a communications agency and also sits on the boards of The Publica Group and InVesta Property.

He has held the position of non-executive director at organisations which include, Teletext, Extra Care Charitable Trust, Roosevelt Scholarship, and has previous experience as chairman of Nottingham Regeneration.
