Cheshire-based bird food manufacturer Feldyfare Limited has continued to expand its product range and business investment in manufacturing and sales.
It said sales of its flagship complete diet Goldenball wild bird food ball “continue at a pace”, and added retailers and consumers realise that “pure quality is affordable” when compared with the majority of the “very average” quality fat ball products in today’s market place.
The company said the introduction of its specialist Chicken Pecker and Game Feed Blocks and Balls has set “the need for further investment”, as production grows to meet increasing sales volumes.
Feldyfare said it has developed most of the specialist equipment to compress and pack this product range at its Cheshire production unit. New equipment is currently being installed to increase volumes and in particular to manufacture its new Mini Pecker Block for its January launch.
A statement by the group read: “The success of the six kilo Chicken Pecker Block has brought an upward demand from retailers and users to produce something smaller for the more domestic chicken keeper. In response Feldy have produced and tested a 1.5 kilo Mini Block in a ready to use bucket for this growing market.
“The bucket provides the production moulding and the in use feeding method from top down or with the bottom removed an upwards feeding method. This way maintains product safety and integrity from vermin and weather.”
It continued: “The Mini Block will be available from January in boxes of 6 and retail at a range of £5 to £6 per Block. To meet demand in the Eastern, North Eastern and Southern areas of the UK the company is seeking further distributors and sales personnel who should contact Feldy with their interest.”
