IVC launches Farm Graduate Academy
Veterinary Group Independent Vetcare (IVC) has launched its Farm Graduate Academy, and will aim to give graduates who want to specialise in farm practice, essential skills to take into the field.
The new programme starts in October, with help from its ever growing number of farm practices and experts in IVC Evidensia, from dairy expert Peter Edmondson and many veterinary support companies.
The course is Anglo-Dutch partnership with graduates coming from the UK and the Netherlands, sessions will be in the UK and the Netherlands, giving graduates the chance to experience the industry in both countries.
The course will cover subjects including farm communication, pregnancy diagnosis and herd health and young stock management.
Donald Kingsnorth, group veterinary advisor, IVC, said: “We are very excited to be able to offer a 100% Farm Graduate Programme, covering subjects such as farm communication, pregnancy diagnosis, herd health and young stock management.
“This course will give graduates, who want to specialise in farm practice, essential skills to take out into the field.”
The Farm Graduate Academy joins the group’s Graduate Academy which has been running since 2014, and had its first graduate conference this year.
