HTA promotes Garden Retail Monitor at GLEE
The HTA is looking forward to welcoming visitors to its stands at GLEE. Members can attend a reception in Hall 20, stand H10 at 5pm – 6.30pm on September 13.
Members can stop at the stand throughout the show to learn about the trade association’s latest initiatives, including training and market data, cost reduction and events.
Staff at the joint HTA/GCA stand will share further information on the Garden Retail Monitor. The new upgraded system takes sales data automatically from garden centre epos systems right down to a bar code level.
HTA market information manager David Denny comments, “The Garden Retail Monitor should put more management information in the hands of garden centres than ever before. And what’s more, there’s no burdensome monthly or weekly data entry needed, saving precious time in the business. The data will help garden retailers improve their business through sales benchmarking regional and national averages.”
Staff at GLEE will also provide details about the HTA Academy. It aims to offer a new cost effective and flexible approach to training delivery. Modules will include cultivating sales and customer service to plant area care, visual merchandising and catering.
Further information will also be available about the two forthcoming conferences – HTA Garden Futures (October 12) at Heythrop Park, Oxfordshire and HTA Marketing Forum (November 8) at Whittlebury Hall, Northamptonshire.
In addition, the HTA Cost Reduction Stand is located in Hall 20, F51 (next to the Seminar Theatre). Throughout the show there will be representatives from a host of HTA cost reduction partners.
HTA Chief Executive Carol Paris, said: “Glee is such a milestone in the horticultural calendar and the event provides a great way for us to engage with our members. From training and market information to cost reduction services there are many benefits to HTA membership for businesses to take advantage of an I would encourage them to spare a little time to find out more.”
