Butcher’s aims to donate one million meals to less fortunate dogs
Dog food manufacturer, Butcher’s Petcare, has launched a social campaign #nourisheverydog to help less fortunate dogs in the UK.
For everyone who tweets #nourisheverydog, the company will donate a Butcher’s meal to a dog less fortunate. It aims to donate one million meals in the next year.
The social media campaign launched in May after the TV campaign during Britain’s Got Talent and has already seen 69,000 tweets.
Some of the charities that will benefit from the donations are DOTS (Dogs On The Streets) London; Second Chance in Southampton; GSR (German Shepherd Rescue) Elite; Greyhound Trust; Greenhill Animal Charity and Cheshire Dogs Home.
Natasha Bryant, brand manager for Butcher’s Nourishing Food For Dogs who created the idea, said: “Every dog deserves to be nourished and we at Butcher’s want to do what we can to ensure dogs less fortunate are fed well. When we first decided to run a social campaign, I wanted it to be engaging and tie in with our TV commercial which is very emotive.
“I am overwhelmed by the response and lovely comments we have had to date as a result of this campaign. #Nourisheverydog is a national ongoing campaign in order to reach our target of donating one million meals nationwide.”
