Pet product manufacturer Mosquitan Pets has expanded its offerings with the launch of three new products.
The Mosquitan Pets Patch is a natural anti-mosquito solution. Each patch contains a small cushion plaster filled with microcapsules of essential oils of eucalyptus citriodora, pelargonium graveolens (geranium) and tea tree.
The adhesive patch is to be placed onto a pet’s collar or bed and squeezed and it lasts for up to six hours. Designed especially with cats and dogs in mind, the patches are DEET- free and safe. The essential oils are contained within a non-permeable adhesive layer that prevents them from coming into direct contact with a pet’s skin or fur. One patch covers an area of one cubic metre. It costs: £8.95 for 24 patches.
The Mosquitan Pets Natural Protection Shampoo is formulated with neem oil and the essential oils of basil and lemongrass. neem oil is widely documented for its antiseptic, anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic and antifungal properties, and is used as a natural, DEET-free alternative against mosquitoes and other biting insects.
Basil oil is noted for its anti-mosquito and anti-bacterial properties, and lemongrass oil, a slightly less “pungent” relative of citronella oil, is also known for its repellent effect. Due to its delicate fragrance it is also better tolerated by dogs and cats. Additional ingredients include vitamins E, B6, biotin and pro-vitamin B5, for a healthier looking coat and decreased fur loss. It is SLS, SLES and paraben-free, Mosquitan Pets Shampoo is 100% natural and gentle enough for frequent use on all fur types. It costs £10.95 for 200ml.
The last new product, Mosquitan Pets Natural Protection Spray is also formulated with neem oil and the essential oils of basil and lemongrass. All three are widely documented for their repellent effect against mosquitoes and other biting insects, including fleas and ticks.
Of the three products in the Mosquitan Pets range, Mosquitan Pets Spray is said to be the most effective against fleas and ticks as it remains on a pet’s fur for longer.
Unlike chemical-based spot-on treatments, which can absorb into a pet’s bloodstream, Mosquitan Pets Spray works locally on the area applied. It is 100% natural and can be reapplied whenever needed. Additional ingredients include vitamin E, for a healthier looking coat, and vitamin F (omega 6), which helps to hydrate the skin and prevent irritation. With its light and non- greasy, chemical-free formula, Mosquitan Pets Spray is said to be well tolerated and safe. It costs £10.95 for 100ml.
