Bruce’s Doggy Daycare losses narrow as it hits £10m turnover mark
Back in 2022 the company opened its 9th site in Solihull, its first foray outside of the South and South East of England
Bruce’s Doggy Daycare has revealed that its losses before tax narrowed to £349,481 for the year ended 30 April 2024, down from £847,965 in 2023.
Alongside this the company passed the £10m turnover mark, posting revenues of £10.7m in the period, up from £8.6m in 2023, a 24% increase year-on-year.
The company also posted a gross profit of £5.17m in 2024, up from £3.9m reflecting improved scale, but high administrative expenses eroded gains.
Bruce’s had administrative expenses of £6.1m, contributing to an operating loss of £940,978.
Looking ahead the company has stated that its focus remains on improving its service offering, investing in staff development and exploring opportunities for further site expansions.
Most recently, Bruce’s opened a new site at Battlers Green Farm in Radlett in August 2023.
The opening of that site also offers a doggy bus collection and drop-off service to shuttle pups to and from home.
This covered the local area including Shenley, Radlett, Borehamwood, Watford, Bushey, Harrow, and Edgware.
Further to the bus service, Bruce’s will also offer dog training, alongside its existing
grooming salon.
