Owners to spend £70 on pets this Xmas

Men are spending an average of £91.70 on their furry friends at Christmas, while the average spend for women was only £50 and 3% of men revealed they spent over £500

The average pet owner in the UK will spend £68.20 on their pet for the festive holiday, according to data from Go.Compare Pet Insurance and MyVoucherCodes.

Almost a fifth (18%) of pet owners admit they are planning to splurge and spend over £100 on their pets.

Those aged 18 to 24 are the most generous, splashing out £88.80 on average per pet, and those aged 25 to 34 will spend £86.70 per pet.
