Maison Dieu Vets moves to new practice in Dover

The site will also house a dental suite, digital x-ray and ultrasound facilities, in-house laboratory, and isolation ward for very sick animals

CVS’ Maison Dieu Vets has moved to a brand new 3,800 sq ft purpose-built building in Granville Street, Dover, following a 1m investment.

The new modern building is all on one level and houses the “latest” veterinary facilities and equipment.

The new property will enable the practice to “significantly expand” the range of clinical services it offers to pets, and increase the number of clients it sees.

Four consulting rooms are being installed to offer a greater number of appointments, along with two spacious operating theatres.

The site will also house a dental suite, digital x-ray and ultrasound facilities, in-house laboratory, and isolation ward for very sick animals.

To keep stress to a minimum for patients, the practice will have a reception area with separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, in addition to separate dog and cat hospital wards. New walk-in kennels are also being built for large dog breeds. The facility will also include a dog exercise area.

Two experienced vets will collectively offer a range of veterinary services, while four veterinary nurses, two patient care advisors and three receptionists will be part of the 12-strong team, who will look after the practice’s clients and their pets.

Carol Eales, practice director at Maison Dieu Vets, said: “This is an exciting move for us. We needed a larger practice – and Granville Street is a fantastic new site with a superb range of facilities. It’ll enable us to look after many patients right here. And it’ll mean that we can grow the number of patients we see.”
