BVNA appoints new council members

The three successful candidates will be presented to the BVNA AGM for ratification on Sunday 13 October 2024

The British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) has announced the appointment of  Simone Bennett RVN, Hamish Morrin RVN and Helen Stewart RVN to fill three full (RVN) seats on its board of council. 

The three successful candidates will be presented to the BVNA AGM for ratification on Sunday 13 October 2024.

Additionally, Lyndsay Hughes RVN who has been appointed to the BVNA officer team for the year 2024/5 as president, Sarah Holliday RVN as junior vice president, Steph Worsley as honorary secretary and Nikki McLeod as honorary treasurer will also to be ratified at the BVNA AGM.

Hughes said: “I would like to thank all those who put themselves forward for election, plus members who voted this year. It is an exciting time to be part of representing the veterinary nursing profession, and we look forward to ratifying the successful candidates onto the BVNA Council at the AGM in October.

“We are also pleased to announce the incoming officer team; a group of our council members who have committed even more of their time to step into a more senior role within BVNA Council. It is a privilege to work alongside the passionate and dedicated veterinary nurses who make up our entire Council team, and who volunteer their time to represent and champion the veterinary nursing profession.”
