Biomega appoints new director
Biomega upcycles Atlantic Norwegian salmon raw materials into premium food, pet food and aquafeed ingredients
Biomega has announced the appointment of Lisa Hubert from Mirova to its board of directors.
She has more than 15 years of experience originating, structuring and managing investments in sustainable agriculture, forestry, infrastructure and the blue economy.
She has on-the-ground operational experience and strong networks in many countries in LATAM, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Hubert is currently an Investment Director at Mirova, an asset management company dedicated to sustainable investing and an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers.
In addition to her new role she is currently a board member at insect protein producer nextProtein, Vietnamese marine biotech company Aquaproducts, and Mexican seafood processing company Marativa.
Mirova has invested capital in Biomega to support the company’s expansion into Denmark.
Hubert said: “It is a great honour to join the Biomega Group board of directors. Together with Kjarten Sandnes, Hege Charlotte Bakken, Tanja Hoel, Craig Armen Tashjian and Sten Estrup, the board is supporting Biomega’s global expansion in sustainable salmon peptides, proteins and oils production as the company looks to strengthen its presence in key markets such as China and the US.”
