The supplies will directly benefit pet shelters, volunteers who are looking after abandoned pets and vulnerable pet owners in challenging regions throughout Ukraine.

PIF CEO Nigel Baker said: โ€œWe have been really amazed with the ongoing generosity of the UK pet trade, especially at a time when the Ukraine conflict is not as high on the news agenda.

โ€œThese donations are already having an impact in the heart of war-torn areas of Ukraine and will help to ensure that countless pets are given a fighting chance. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all who have contributed, and we continue to stand with Ukraine during these trying times.โ€
