Cats Protection appoints new director
He has held positions as head of nature policy and operations director for Central and Eastern England at the RSPB in the past
UKโs cat welfare charity Cats Protection has appointed Jeff Knott as its new advocacy and influence director.
Knott is currently director of policy and advocacy at RSPB and will move to his new role on 1 May.
Knott, who has spent 16 years working in nature conservation, will lead the charityโs newly formed advocacy and influence directorate and will be part of the senior leadership team, reporting to chief executive John May.
He has held positions as head of nature policy and operations director for Central and Eastern England at the RSPB in the past.
Knott said: โOne of the best things about working for a charity is how dedicated everyone is to the cause. There’s nothing more energising than spending time with passionate people and I’m really looking forward to supporting Cats Protection in delivering our mission. Iโve admired the organisation for a long time and Iโm hugely excited to join the team.โ
Cats Protection added: โWeโre really looking forward to welcoming Jeff to lead our new directorate. Weโre looking to create change that will have a long-term impact on cat welfare and society and Jeff brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience which will help build on our reach and influence with governments, influencers and the general public across the UK.โ
