Good Dog Food appoints Henry Dimbleby as non-executive director

At Good Dog Food Dimbleby will assist with strategy, commercialisation, and government relations

Agronomics, the company focused on the field of cellular agriculture, has announced that portfolio company Good Dog Food Limited has appointed Henry Dimbleby, an entrepreneur and food campaigner, to the board as a non-executive director.

Dimblebey is a UK food campaigner, co-founder of restaurant chain Leon and was lead non-executive director at the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) from 2018 to 2023.

Dimbleby led the UK Governmentโ€™s Food Strategy Review, creating the first comprehensive review of the UK’s food strategy in 70 years, published in 2021.

At Good Dog Food Dimbleby will assist with strategy, commercialisation, and government relations.

In March 2022, Agronomics launched Good Dog Food, investing ยฃ150,000 in the founder’s round, and a follow-on investment of ยฃ1m as part of its ยฃ3.6m seed financing round in May 2023.

Subject to audit, Agronomics will be carrying this investment at ยฃ4.96m, including an unrealised gain of ยฃ3.81m which accounts for 3.08% of the last published Net Asset Value of Agronomics including estimated post-balance sheet adjustments.

On a fully diluted basis, Agronomics owns 40.65% of the shares of Good Dog Food. Moreover, the pet food company’s 2.97% stakeholder is Jim Mellon, an executive director of Agronomics.
