Bristol pet care centre unveils new brand and expansion

The extension has provided the practice with an additional theatre, new equipment and two further consultation rooms, allowing the team to accommodate more appointments to meet rising demand

A pet care centre and veterinary practice in Bristol has been unveiled as one of the first Pets at Home locations in the UK to receive an extensive refurbishment following the launch of the brand’s new identity.

The new-look pet care centre on Emersons Green Retail Park marked the refresh with a celebratory launch event for customers and pets from the local community.

The centre is one of the first Pets at Home locations in the UK to be refurbished following Pets at Home’s major rebrand in April.

It is part of an ambition to cement Pets at Home as the one-stop destination for all pet care needs, from grooming to veterinary services.

The Emersons Green pet care centre is home to specialist pet care advisors who are on hand to support pet owners with free advice, including flea and worm subscriptions, weight checks and nutritional consultations, as well as a coat and harness fitting service for dogs.

Vets for Pets Bristol Emersons Green – which is also in the pet care centre – is run by a 28-strong team of “highly skilled” vets, advanced veterinary nurses and experienced client care advisers offering a wide range of veterinary healthcare services including orthopaedics, keyhole surgery, ultrasound, and laser therapy.

The extension has provided the practice with an additional theatre, new equipment and two further consultation rooms, allowing the team to accommodate more appointments to meet rising demand.

The extended facilities also mean colleagues have a larger area for surgery preparation, increased kennel space and a dedicated cat waiting area with specially designed cat box shelves built into the seats to boost the practice’s functionality and increase comfort for pets.

The extension has also created three more jobs for the local community.

Under the same roof, customers will be able to access Pets Grooming, Pets at Home’s own grooming salon which offers a wide range of services for dogs, including full grooms, spa treatments, puppy grooming, bath, brush and blow-dry, and nail clipping.

Scott Brewer, store manager at Pets at Home Bristol Emerson Green, said: “We’re thrilled to be one of the first Pets at Home stores in the UK to receive the new branding, and we can’t wait to welcome customers and their pets from the local community into our new pet care centre.”

Dr Carla Puime Costoya, practice owner and veterinary surgeon at Vets for Pets Bristol Emersons Green, added: “The whole team is really excited about the extension, and we’re thrilled to welcome our customers and their pets into practice. With more space, we are able to offer more appointments, more quickly, ensuring we can see people’s beloved pets as quickly as possible.”
