Pets At Home secures supplier partnership with Cranswick
Supply is due to begin in the second half of the year with production and stock building taking place over the summer
Pets At Home has signed a new supply partnership deal with food producer company, Cranswick plc.
The news follows Cranswick’s growth plans to expand its pet food business.
Cranswick will initially supply Pets at Home with dry dog kibble under two existing brands, Wainwrights and Step Up to Naturals, from its facility at Lodge Farm in Lincolnshire.
It said that the partnership will place Pets at Home as the “lead” strategic customer from the facility.
Supply is due to begin in the second half of the year with production and stock building taking place over the summer.
The first phase of investment at the facility is currently underway and will increase capacity by around 40% delivering scope for further growth.
Cranswick entered the pet food market with the acquisition of Grove Pet Foods Limited in February 2022.
It stated that the announcement is an “exciting” next step in the development of the Cranswick Pet Products business and the deal further supports its farm to fork integration strategy, helping to ensure there is no waste in its food systems.
