Butternut Box acquires Polish pet food company PsiBufet

With the acquisition, PsiBufet’s customers can choose from a wider range of products, and access a ‘more advanced’ online customer experience

Butternut Box, the UK-based dog food company has announced the acquisition of PsiBufet, Poland’s fresh dog food company, expanding its European presence.

Butternut Box has already established its brand in other European countries including Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium and now Poland.

It claimed that since its inception in 2016, the company has grown “rapidly”, raising over £100m in capital to date including investment from L Catterton, White Star Capital, Five Seasons Ventures, Passion Capital, Literacy Capital, Claret Capital and HSBC.

PsiBufet, founded in 2012, is known for its individually tailored fresh food for dogs.
With the acquisition, it said PsiBufet’s customers can now choose from a wider range of products, and access a “more advanced” online customer experience.

In turn, Butternut Box is able to expand its activities to Central and Eastern Europe, with Poland serving as a regional hub for the group’s operations.‍
