PIF Awards finalists to be announced next week
The awards ceremony has been delayed following the passing of Queen Elizabeth, and it has received an ‘unprecedented’ number of entries this year
The Pet Industry Federation (PIF) has announced that the preliminary judging for the 2022 PIF Awards is complete and finalists for each of the 20 categories will be announced next week.
This year has seen a “record” number of entries for the awards, and the ceremony will take place on 17 November at Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire.
The PIF awards have been delayed by a week following the passing of Queen Elizabeth last Thursday (8 September).
The awards are judged by a panel of industry experts who are looking for businesses that have “delivered over and above despite the difficulties of the past 12 months”.
Nigel Baker, CEO of the PIF, said: “Everyone here at PIF was extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen so it made complete sense to delay the finalists’ announcement by one week out of respect for the national mourning period which we are all currently observing.
“We have received an unprecedented number of entries this year and very much look forward to welcoming everyone to the PIF Awards in November. Tickets and accommodation sold out in 2021 so we’d encourage early booking this year.”
