UK Bring Your Dog to Work Day to take place on Friday

This Friday will be the UK’s fifth Bring Your Dog to Work day, businesses will be encouraged to let employees bring their dogs in with them in order to raise money for charity.
The event, founded and organised by pet grooming product manufacturer Hownd will aim to raise money for All Dogs Matter and Animals Asia.
It is thought by some that having dogs in the workplace can increase productivity with Bring Your Dog to Work Day’s website saying: “Many scientific studies have concluded that the presence of pets can substantially reduce a person’s stress level in the workplace.
“Increased job satisfaction, team co-operation and morale have all been reported in employees that spend the workday with their pets.”
The day will be sponsored by Barking Mad Cotswolds, owner Alun Davies said: “We love the idea of being able to take your four legged best friend to work with you.
“Bring Your Dog to Work Day is a fantastic way to raise funds for animal charities and promote the positive effects of spending time with dogs.”
