RCVS heads to Birmingham for Regional Question Time
The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) will be holding a Regional Question Time meeting on Tuesday 19 June in Birmingham to give members of the veterinary team the opportunity to put their questions to the college, and for the RCVS team to hear their views.
The free event, which will take place at the Hotel Du Vin in Birmingham, will begin with a buffet supper at 6.30pm, with the main event beginning at 7.15pm with a discussion chaired by RCVS president Professor Stephen May.
Pam Mosedale, Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) Assessor, will also be at Hotel Du Vin on Tuesday 19 June offering free 45-minute private appointments from 1:30 to 5:15pm.
These appointments can cover any aspect of the PSS, whether that is a broad overview or specific questions in light of an upcoming assessment. The appointments are open to all existing PSS members, as well as those considering joining the scheme for the first time.
Regional Question Times provide an opportunity for delegates to choose the topics of discussion, and are open to veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and other members of the practice team.
Subjects raised by guests at recent meetings include: Schedule 3 review; the RCVS’s innovation hub, Vivet; Vet and VN Futures; Brexit; the Mind Matters Initiative; Fellowships; and the Practice Standards Scheme.
Those attending the event can submit questions in advance as well as putting questions to the panel on the night.
