Vitalin Pet Foods have announced that it is sponsoring the German Shepherd Rescue Elite (GSRE) charity, following a vote by the general public.
Earlier this year, the company pledged a £500 sponsorship to a charity and created a poll on Facebook asking people to vote for any charity they liked and the GSRE was the favoured choice.
The charity was set up to help unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds. The team also aim to educate the public about what it means to own a German Shepherd, and what it takes to properly look after one.
They rescue dogs in need, and ensure they are microchipped, neutered, vaccinated and properly cared for before being re-homed.
Director of GSRE, Allison Clarke said: “We were absolutely delighted just to be nominated for this fantastic prize, and we are over the moon that we actually won! Caring for these dogs is a passion of every single one of us here at GSRE, and we are so happy that the public recognised that by voting for us. And as you can see from our photos, the dogs are pretty pleased too!”
