Doggy Doggy Yum Yum reaches PetQuip award finals
The ice cream for dogs brand was set up by Dorset based artisanal ice cream maker Baboo Gelato
Dorset-based Doggy Doggy Yum Yum, a pet frozen treat for dogs, has made the finals of the PetQuip and Pet Industry Federation Awards.
Doggy Doggy Yum Yum was launched in 2020 by Dorset based artisanal ice cream maker Baboo Gelato.
It was set up by husband and wife team Sam and Annie Hanbury. It is made with peanut butter and bananas, and uses coconut milk instead of dairy to make it more tolerable for dogs.
The product is now in 120 stockists nationwide, including at pet stores such as Pet Pavilion in London and the chain of Just For Pets Stores in the Midlands.
They also secured national distribution through Pedigree Wholesale Ltd.
Sam Handbury said: “We’ve been astonished how quickly Doggy Doggy has spread
nationally. We always knew that pet owners wanted to give their dogs the best, but
it’s nice to see it in action.”
