Pets Corner has announced plans to donate £10,000 a year for the foreseeable future to the Liam Fairhurst Foundation.
The Liam Fairhurst Foundation, which was set up by Callum Fairhurst, who started the foundation in memory of his brother Liam, who died in 2009, to help young people affected by cancer, disabilities and illness.
In addition, the charity funds counselling and offers financial assistance to parents, and also gives grants to other charities and organisations that share a similar ethos.
The Scampers pet store in Soham, Cambridgeshire, now part of the Pets Corner family, has been a supporter of the family’s fundraising efforts for many years.
Callum Fairhurts, said: “We recently used a Pets Corner donation of £1,000 to help support three families of children with complex medical needs, including a state-of-the-art gaming monitor for a 12-year-old lad, a much-needed holiday for a family, and financial support for another one who’ve spent a substantial amount of time in hospital.”
