R&R Country to open new pet shop

Looking ahead, R&R Country said it is also hoping to open an in-house dog grooming parlour in the near future

R&R Country, a local equestrian and country superstore based in Hemingbrough, is set to unveil its latest retail venture this Bank holiday weekend, with the launch of a new pet shop.

On 1 May at 10am, the doors will open and all customers will be welcomed with a 10% discount off all dog products, with the promotion set to last over the whole bank holiday weekend.

Items that will be sold include dog beds, treats, coats and other accessories.

The pet shop will be housed in an old building, formerly Stone’s fish and chip restaurant, which has “taken on a whole new look ready for the grand opening”.

Looking ahead, R&R Country said it is also hoping to open an in-house dog grooming parlour in the near future.

To celebrate the launch, the business will be running a raffle over the duration of the weekend to win a dog hamper filled with canine “goodies”. Entries will cost just £1 and all money raised will be donated to the Jerry Green Dog Rescue charity.

Tina Addy, store manager at the Hemingbrough branch, said it was  important to support local charities after the “difficulties of last year”.

She said: “We can’t wait to open up the shop this Saturday and hopefully raise lots of money for the fantastic charity, Jerry Green.”
