The Innocent Pet has announced it will be reducing its trade orders in order to better support its retail customers across the UK throughout the latest lockdown.
The company which was founded in 2013, is a family run business, based in Thorp Arch, West Yorkshire run by Chloe Heaton, and her husband Justin.
The business is committed to making healthy pet treats and uses a “bespoke air-drying” system to gently air-dry treats to maintain nutritional value and flavour for pets, a process that takes up to 7 days to make.
The campaign has been put in place to provide flexibility to specialist pet stores who face uncertainty following retail restrictions in response to the pandemic.
The Yorkshire-based manufacturer has remained open throughout the pandemic, as it was listed as an essential business in supplying pet retailers and directly to customers online through their website. They have experienced a “significant increase” in demand for their air-dried food, however despite the pandemic they have not suffered any delays to orders being dispatched.
Chloe Heaton said: “We understand that it’s difficult for everyone at the minute. Whilst pet shops can remain open, it is not easy for shop owners to predict footfall.
“We offered the same scheme in the November lockdown which was hugely welcomed and took the strain off small businesses having to place larger orders in challenging circumstances.”
