Pets at Home renews Microlise telematics solution
The technology will support its fleet of 56 vehicles deliver to a network of over 450 stores across the UK
Pets at Home, the UK’s leading pet care business, will see the continuation of its current telematics solution through a multi-year agreement with Microlise, a fleet telematics systems provider.
The pet care provider operates a fleet of 36 HGV and 20 vans to support a network of over 450 stores across the UK.
In order to improve transportation efficiency, the Microlise telematics solution uses analysis of fleet activity to support improved scheduling and route selection, as well as implementing improved communications systems to mitigate possible delivery issues.
Steve Travis, general transport manager at Pets at Home, said: “Our operating philosophy is to provide the highest standard of service, product and value. As part of this process, we will continue to deploy Microlise technology as it provides us with the best fleet visibility, security and operational intelligence.
“We believe that Microlise’s ongoing investment in R&D, and ability to respond to our specific requirements, will also help us to future-proof our business as we continue to develop our pet care ecosystem.”
As one of Europe’s largest technology, telematics, and transport management solution providers, Microlise operates with the UK’s 15 largest retailers, managing a global vehicle network of over 500,000.
Nadeem Raza, CEO at Microlise, added that the firm is “delighted to continue” its partnership with Pets at Home, supporting the pet care company’s goals to “deliver an improved end-customer experience”.
