Royal Canin invite BSAVA delegates to join conversation on begging

Royal Canin will be inviting delegates at this year’s BSAVA Congress to take part in a new weight conversation about begging.
From 5-8 April, Royal Canin will be at the heart of the discussion with weight management experts on hand, a new weight management product launch and a calorie counting competition.
Georgia Woods, Royal Canin Weight Management Clinic nurse at the University of Liverpool Small Animal Teaching Hospital will be hosting Q&A opportunities throughout the event to spark conversation on the topic. The Royal Canin Weight Management Team will also be available to discuss support tools on offer to practices.
Caroline Burke BSc, RVN, weight management specialist said: “We recognise the need to provide education to support the veterinary profession in understanding obesity is a disease and how to best communicate this to pet owners. Controlling begging is integral to a successful weight management programme and I am looking forward to speaking with delegates at this year’s BSAVA Congress on the subject.”
BSAVA Congress will also see Royal Canin launch its latest product; Feline Satiety Wet Pouches. The newest product in the popular Satiety range, the pouches provide a nutritionally balanced option as part of a weight management plan to help reduce begging.
A new touchscreen game will also be available for delegates. With an aim to catch the falling kibble and avoid the high calorie treats, visitors to the stand will be in with a chance of winning prizes such as iPads, portable speakers, and a guided tour of the Liverpool Weight Management Clinic, including a Q&A and the chance to experience a full DEXA work up.
Royal Canin will be at stand 816 between 5-8 April at BSAVA Congress.
