Pet bed specialists Scruffs® will launch a new collection of Thermal Dog Jackets, at the PATS 2016 trade show on September 25-26.
Scruffs®’ group sales director Dubby Klyne said: “The Thermal series of bedding is one of our best-selling collections throughout the winter, so we’re very excited to be launching a Self-Heating Dog Jacket to complement the range for the upcoming cold season.
“After receiving excellent feedback from our Australian distributor earlier this year, we are eager to see how the Jackets will take to the UK and European markets over the coming months.”
The Manchester-based company uses a reflective technology lining to improve the dog jackets’ thermal properties. A hollow-fibre core provides insulation. The soft shell exterior gives protection against wind and rain, while retaining its breathable qualities.
The jackets have a micro-fleece turtle-neck collar, chest pad, adjustable girth strap and hind leg straps to ensure a snug fit without restricting movement or dogs’ agility.
A leash slot is fitted in the top of the jacket, for use with a harness if required. Scruffs® Thermal Dog Jacket is machine washable and is available in nine sizes.
Self-Heating Pet Beds
The Scruffs® Thermal, Self-Heating Pet Beds will also be on display at PATS Telford. Each one features a foam layer, backed with reflective foil. This layer is sandwiched between quilted polyester fibres and the bed’s main fill, it reflects body heat back to its user, keeping them warm. The quilted hollow fibre lies beneath a super soft fleece cover. This layer holds warm air, providing added insulation.
