23 professional clippers and trimmers, along with new blades and accessories have been donated to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home by clipper manufacturer Wahl (UK) Ltd.
The UK based company was approached by Battersea Dogs and Cats Home to supply some new clippers and trimmers for the vet clinic.
Happy to help, Wahl have agreed to support the rescue centres on an on-going basis and will become its number one choice for clippers and trimmers.
Every one of the 8421 dogs and cats rescued by this wonderful charity will benefit from this support as they undergo veterinary checks and procedures.
Shaun Opperman, director of veterinary services at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home said “We see just under 9,000 stray and unwanted animals come through our doors each year. Every one of them will have a vet check and most will require a clip up at some point, whether this is preparing for surgery or removing matts from a neglected coat.
“We’re extremely grateful to Wahl UK for their generous donation which will save the Home hundreds of pounds each year and make a real difference to our animals.”
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home will be expanding this year with a brand new, purpose-built Veterinary Hospital and Centre of Excellence, increasing capacity and allowing the home to care for more abandoned and unwanted animals. Wahl will continue their support as the veterinary team grows.
