Pets Corner raises funds with charity scheme

Ethical pet retailer Pets Corner is encouraging staff to raise funds for worthy causes nationwide. The business has signed up to the charity scheme Hands On Payroll Giving. The service that allows staff to make tax free contributions to any charity of their choice directly from their gross pay with no minimum donation requirement.

The family run company, which has more than 150 stores across the UK and over 600 staff, already donates 4 percent of its annual profits to charity every year. The Hands On Payroll Giving scheme will allow staff to further extend its commitment.

Dean Richmond, managing director at Pets Corner, said: “I strongly believe that businesses have a responsibility to give back to the communities around them so I am delighted to partner with Hands On Payroll Giving and provide our staff with the opportunity to support causes close to their hearts in an easy and simple way.”

Staff who sign up to the scheme can choose to support a charity from any sector, and may keep their choices anonymous. All payments will be administered directly by Hands On Payroll Giving with Pets Corner covering any associated administration fees.
