Celebrities visit new Bow Wow London Dog Grooming Salon
Bow Wow London Dog Grooming Salon enjoyed a celebrity-packed opening at 17 Little Russell Street, Central London on 22 March 2017. Amanda Holden and Maria Friedman attended the launch along with their four-legged friends, Buddy the Shichon (Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise cross) and Bingy the Shih Tzu.
The new dog grooming salon aims to replicate the success of the company’s award-winning flagship dog shop in Covent Garden, which was voted as London’s Best Loved Shop in Time Out London’s 2015 awards.
Amanda, Maria, Buddy and Bingy were welcomed to try out the salon’s modern, bright and friendly environment, with both pooches enjoying a spruce up from their head groomer Haruka. The visiting dogs were welcomed with tasty treats before stepping through large glass doors for their treatments, using holistic BIOGANCE® products.
Head and assistant groomers Haruka and Vicky, who will now offer dogs of all shapes and sizes services such as the Wash & Go, the Bow Wow Express and The Full Bow Wow Experience. They also got to hear about the benefits of the salon’s specialist treatment – Thalassotherapy Mud Bath.
Head groomer Haruka joins Bow Wow London all the way from Japan. A graduate of the prestigious International Animal Health & Management College in Tokyo, she studied an extensive dog-grooming course for two years. During long-term employment at Dog Town in Toyko she learned the innovative thalassotherapy mud bath and Ayurveda herb pack for dogs treatment.
Joining her is East London girl Vicky, who has been grooming the hounds of Essex for the past four years and is the resident First Aider for Dogs. Co-owner Taro Takeuchi, a graduate from the prestigious Colin Taylor Dog Grooming Academy, is also on hand to ensure the grooming work meets the expected standard of excellence.
In addition to grooming, the new salon also offer a curated edit of the Earlham Street stock to keep local pet owners topped up with essentials such as leads, collars, treats, food and at home grooming kits for in-between maintenance.
Commenting on their new venture co-owner, Jason Maddocks says: “We’re delighted to be opening our first ever grooming salon in central London and are so glad that Amanda, Maria and their dogs were here to join us on our first day.
“We hope to emulate the award-winning success of our Covent Garden shop and bring the capital’s canines and beyond an outstanding standard of grooming in a relaxed, friendly and clean environment where they will feel right at home.”
